When students walk through the doors into Cedar View, we are ready to help them grow in their education.  4th grade is an amazing year of learning, and our educators are ready to share this exciting year with students.  Our students start to take on more complex social and academic skills, and our team is here to help them learn and answer questions along the way.

4th grade can be a challenging year for many students.  Academics become more challenging and new skills are learned.  There are changes in friendships, social skills, and overall small things that can feel stressful for our students.  Together we work to give them the best education, feel prepared, and help them work through questions they have as they continue to grow into wonderful young adults.
What we Teach
Our students continue to build upon their foundation in mathematics, literacy, social students, and science.  You can visit our Academic Services Department to get an in-depth look at what information they will learn in 4th grade.

4th-grade students also participate in the following encore classes:

Elementary Physical Education
Physical education is important in early childhood not just for physical activity and fitness, but also provides cognitive content, and learning instruction, motor skills, and knowledge.  The skills students learn from the early ages carry on throughout their school journey.

Elementary Music and Collaboration Program
The Cedar Springs Elementary Music program educates students to become confident and independent musicians. The elementary music curriculum provides opportunities to explore sound through singing, moving, listening, and playing instruments.
